What are Fast valves and Slow Valves?
Fast valves refer to the speed the vehicle goes up and down. The size of the air path through the manifold determines the lift and drop, usually the drop is faster, and the use of slowdowns may be required to get an accurate adjustment. Level Ride can pulse down to the valves minimum operating parameters which can be as low as 7 milliseconds, on average though 10-15milliseconds is what most valves minimum pulse will work at so at this length of pulse if you’re seeing a rise or drop of more than 1/2” you will need a flow control or slowdown for the system to be able to adjust accurately. So, you can run fast valves if you understand the limits Level Ride can operate on. Some fast valves have a high current draw so you will need to run 8 relays to limit the load on the ECU to drive them.
The manifold we offer is what we call a moderate speed and works very well on most cars. Most of our customer’s would never want their car to move this abruptly. The individual valve arrangement consumes a lot of space (2 individual valves take up the same space that the entire Level Ride LV-8 4-Corner Valve Unit does).
